Zlatograd is a unique open-air museum that recreates the architecture and local crafts of the city more than 100 years ago. It is located in the valley of the Varbitsa River, in the southernmost part of the Eastern Rhodopes and only 6km from the border with Greece. Zlatograd is the only private ethnographic complex in Bulgaria. The atmosphere of our southernmost Bulgarian city will take you back to the Renaissance. You are about to get acquainted with the traditional crafts that were the livelihood of the local population. The complex also celebrates the big Bulgarian holidays such as Gergyovdev, Todorovden, Trifon Zarezan, and not to forget the Feast of Zlatograd cheverme.
